Your Gateway to...

flying monkey

A good number of you know that I've had a coffee pot in my bedroom for the last thirty years or so - a 3-minute Bunn, no less - and those of you who didn't, certainly do now! Chuckle!

Okay...so, I like my coffee. But I also have a penchant for really cool coffee mugs. The kind of mug that reflects my attitude of the day, makes a statement, and lets others know how I'm feeling, too. To drink my coffee from anything less...well...somehow makes it lose its flavor. And to be perfectly honest, that's just a waste of what could otherwise be a absolutely fabulous cup of coffee.

As I've traveled around the country over the years, I've found that a good number of people feel the same way. What's more, they're searching for something associated with Witchcraft or Paganism that's fun and lighthearted, rather than cutesy. So to that end, I put on my thinking cap, went to work, and came up with the Dorothy Morrison Book Cover, Wicked Witchery, and Wicked Witch Mojo Beans collections. I think they fit the bill - and I hope you will, too. ;)

(Please note that mugs come in two sizes - standard and large - and that clicking on the related pictures will take you to the corresponding sections of The Flying Monkey Express. It's also important to note that since all mug orders go directly through Cafe Press, shipping is handled through that company - so I'm unable to combine shipping for items on this page with any of the other things I offer.)

The Wicked Witchery Collection

Unlike her sister - who couldn't kick herself out of a wet paper sack - the Wicked Witch of the East was a sexy vixen who knew the power of 4" heels and shapely legs. No wonder she had no need of flying monkeys! ;)

We've all heard it said that "America runs on Dunkin'." But what about Witches? Real Witches? Is coffee alone enough to sustain them? Of course not - and here's the proof!

"Uh-oh" is right! This is exactly what happens when pesky folks won't leave you alone - or even worse, would rather tend to your business than their own. This mug definitely spells things out for people - and does so in such a way, that even the most socially challenged will get the message.

What's more magical than a mug sporting five shapely legs - complete with red high heels - that form a five-pointed star? Very little - unless that mug is filled with "Mojo Beans Coffee!"

WWDC? If you don't know what that means, don't feel bad. Truth is, I didn't either - at least, not until Jacki of Coventry Creations explained it to me. Simply put, it stands for "What Would Dorothy Cast?" And it was the catch phrase of the day while the folks there were working on my new Wicked Witch Mojo line! LOL!

This mug was originally designed as a joke for my coven-mates, who seem to believe that I can jump tall castles in a single bound, slay an army of dragons before breakfast, and match wits with the most wicked of Witches - as long as I have my coffee in hand! This mug is such fun, that I couldn't help but list it here. Besides...if folks really believe that my wrath is worse than a pack of flying monkeys, it's a good bet that you'll be safe - and so will your coffee when you drink it from this mug!

Ah, the magical, mystical Moon! She rules the tides of the Earth and the tides of our bodies. And like our ancestors before us, we pray to Her, plant by Her, and work our magic in harmony with Her phases. So that being the case, we must be - gasp - lunatics! Profess your admission - and keep idiots at bay - with this fun and whimsical Everyday Moon Magic mug!

Where would we be without the Sun? We'd be starving and freezing to death in the dark - that's where! And even if we somehow managed to survive that, our fate would be sealed anyway. For without the Sun, we'd have no oxygen. So worthy of praise, so often forgotten, give the Sun His due with this great little mug.

When I first started reading the Tarot, my neighbors were over nearly every day. They weren't there to visit with me, though. No siree. Instead, they wanted me to entertain them - free of charge, I might add - by reading their cards just one more time. Of course, it didn't take long for that to get old. And this great little Everyday Tarot Magic Mug states precisely what I wished I'd told them!

In ancient times, women of age were revered for their knowledge and wisdom, and held a very special place in society. And now, we know the reason why: Those mature ladies had no intention whatsoever of going away quietly. They were smart, sassy and sexy - and they knew, as we do today, that life was just beginning!

Perfect for magical gardeners with a touch of impatience, those who wish their gardening skills were a bit more magical, and the apprentice gardener whose thumb is often more brown than green, the Bud, Blossom and Leaf Mug says it all. It touts the thoughts running through every gardener's head at one time or another - whether or not they're ballsy enough to speak them out loud!

DGI

As a child, I thought I wanted to be a princess. But as I got older, I lifted my sights somewhat. [The Queen of Everything had much better benefits and the title was more fun.] After a while, though, I realized my mistake: Being the Goddess Incarnate was the way to go! So grab this mug, and see for yourself. Discover the personal Goddess Incarnate within. You'll be amazed where Her magic takes you!

Craft

I really wanted to do something fun with this mug, but let's face it: The Craft is serious business. It outlines the lessons I taught first-year students and there's nothing cutesy about all the hard work involved. So I opted, instead, for a quote that fit the tone of the book. A great little reminder that the power of magic - like that of coffee - shouldn't be taken lightly! ;)

So...how can you tell a good Witch from a bad Witch? Well...a good Witch can spell, of course! And when you drink your daily nectar from this mug, there can be no doubt whatsoever just exactly which type you are. In fact, the magic of this cup starts from your very first sip - and grows in the smiles it conjures all around you.

Yule

Most of us love the holiday season, but it does bring its own set of problems for Pagans, Wiccans and those who celebrate the Solstice: The search for holiday cards and accessories that aren't stamped with "Christmas." While I can't do anything about the greeting cards - not yet, anyway - I have designed a great mug with the perfect Pagan-oriented statement.

The Lucinda's Web Collection

There are days when none of us feel like working or dealing with life's rat race. In fact, there's nothing we'd rather do than snuggle down into a favorite comforter, relax, and get tangled up in a good book! If that's the way you're feeling, grab this mug and fill it to the brim with your favorite coffee or cocoa. Then curl up with - what else?! - your new copy of Lucinda's Web! ;)

Who'd have thought that magic cast could not only last for more than a hundred years, but pick up momentum as time went on? But that's exactly what happened in Lucinda's Web. The simple synopsis on the back of this mug tells the tale. It's a gentle reminder that magic is serious business which should never be turned loose without great thought - and certainly not without an expiration date.

The message of this mug is yet another take on the tale of Lucinda's Web. Only this time, it comes in the way of a poem I wrote some time ago - a poem that outlined perfectly the nature of the storyline. Even more appropriate, though, is the photo of me on the front. Why? Because it was taken in a very old cemetery with a gravestone just about the same age as the magic cast in the novel.

This mug was actually designed to generate interest in Lucinda's Web before it was released. [Gotta love marketing! ;)] But the fact of the matter is that I sold so many of them after the book's release, it would've been downright foolish to discontinue it. Who'd have thought anyone would enjoy having coffee with me so much?!
